China precision casting, lost wax casting, steel casting foundry
Alloy steel precision casting can be a high demanding process of steel precision casting. Normally there are no ready certain steel ingots available in market, that means we have to alloy the required steel alloy as per the chemical composition provided by the customer. In order to achieve certain steel alloy with accuracy chemical composition, an steel investment casting foundry should have certain equipments like spectrometer. Besides, the alloying furnace is also important for alloy steel precision casting. The iron crucible can release some other elements to the melting alloy besides iron elements. That is to say, the most important thing in the whole alloy steel precision casting is to keep the chemical composition under control.
Cinda investment casting foundry considers the capacity of alloy steel precision casting as our iconic ability of steel precision casting. Recently we has introduced spectrometer, advanced electrical furnace into our foundry, for the purpose of improving our alloy steel investment casting ability.
Normally we use standard ingots for alloying by adding other elements like nickel, chrome, carbon, manganese and so on. The alloying liquid will be tested by spectrometer till it meets the required chemical composition.
In order to keep the alloying process swift and precision, we always do clean melting pots clear with special solvent. An unclean crucible will add extra iron and oxidized dross to the melting liquid as deteriorates the alloying.
In early days, manganese steel castings are produced by sand casting process. And actually, lots of steel casting foundries still use green or resin sand casting process to produce manganese steel castings which have complicated inner features which can be only obtained by sand core. But if they have demanding surface roughness and complicated whole design, investment casting process can be an ideal choice.
Cinda steel investment casting foundry has rich experience in manganese steel casting. Our high manganese steel precision cast products have already been exported to Finland, Norway and Canada.
Heat treatment is a necessary process for alloy steel investment castings. Heat treatment can bring about improvement of surface hardness, relieving casting stress, increasing toughness and strength. Nearly all alloy steel investment castings require heat treatment to improve its mechanical property.
